1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Glint ("the Service"), operated by Lightmode (Pty) Ltd ("Lightmode", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Glint is an AI visibility monitoring platform that tracks how brands appear in responses from AI language models including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. The Service provides visibility scores, sentiment analysis, and competitor tracking.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You are responsible for all activities under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our designated payment processor. All payments are processed securely. You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at support@lightmode.co.za. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be satisfied with our Service. Our refund and cancellation policy is as follows:

Monthly Subscriptions:

  • You may cancel at any time — no questions asked
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain access to the Service until the end of your paid period
  • Monthly subscriptions are not eligible for partial refunds, as they are low-commitment by design

Service Issues:

  • Refunds may be granted if the Service is materially defective, not as described, or unavailable due to a fault on our end
  • To request a refund, email us at support@lightmode.co.za

This policy does not limit or exclude any rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"). Where the CPA applies, your statutory rights take precedence.

6. Free Scan

Glint offers a free AI visibility scan on our homepage. The free scan is limited to a single brand and industry query. No account or payment information is required. We reserve the right to limit or restrict free scan usage to prevent abuse.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the Service
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Abuse the free scan feature through automated or excessive requests
  • Misrepresent the data provided by the Service

8. Data Accuracy

Glint queries third-party AI models and reports their responses. We do not control or guarantee the accuracy of AI model responses. Visibility scores are based on sampling and may not represent complete coverage. The Service is provided for informational purposes.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Lightmode (Pty) Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. In no event shall Lightmode (Pty) Ltd be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
