Glint is operated by Lightmode (Pty) Ltd ("Lightmode", "we", "us"), a registered South African company. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (hashed).

Profile Information: Brand name, company name, and industry you choose to provide.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and scan history to improve the Service.

Payment Information: Handled entirely by our designated payment processor. We never store credit card numbers or banking details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To generate AI visibility scans for your brand
• To send alerts about visibility changes
• To process your subscription payments
• To communicate important updates about the Service
• To improve the Service through anonymized analytics

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with encrypted passwords. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Database and authentication
• Vercel — Hosting
• Payment Processor — Secure payment processing
• OpenRouter — AI model API access (for scans)
• Google Analytics — Website analytics (anonymized)
• Sentry — Error monitoring (no personal data)

When we perform scans, we send industry-related prompts to AI models via OpenRouter. We do not send your personal information to AI models — only your brand name and industry category.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication. We use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the Service is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data

• Object to processing of your data

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International Data Transfers

Our servers and third-party services may process data outside of South Africa. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with POPIA.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email.
